Inspired by the rich heritage of Hedingham Castle
Built for Aubrey de Vere, the first Earl of Oxford, in 1100, the mighty keep of Hedingham Castle has dominated the Essex landscape for nearly one thousand years, having survived sieges, plagues and wars. It is a testament to one of the oldest and most powerful families in the kingdom.
We are the Lindsay family.
Direct descendants of the De Veres and still residing at Hedingham Castle to this day, we are incredibly proud of our heritage and have crafted DeVere Finest Gin in honour of our ancestors.
In partnership with an award-winning London distillery, we have created a unique, small-batch gin exclusively infused with botanicals from the Hedingham estate.
We are not attempting to reinvent the wheel, but to subtly enhance it.
A deliciously delicate yet sophisticated creation, born from a traditional juniper-forward London Dry Gin, DeVere Finest Gin is enhanced with the distinct honey sweetness of the handpicked linden flowers that naturally thrive on the ancient ramparts of the Castle.
Presented in a beautiful bottle inspired by the iconic Norman architecture of the 900-year-old Castle.
Tasting Notes
Herbaceous Linden honey and Juniper on the nose with citrus notes coming through on the palate from the Coriander Seed. Pleasing bitterness and spice coming in the aftertaste from the savoury and Angelica Root.
DeVere Finest Gin in is best enjoyed with tonic, ice and a slice of lemon on any occasion, or as an intriguing addition to a dry martini.
